This lovely black dog seems to live at the neighbor’s down the street, but she roams free outside all day. She visits us every morning while we eat breakfast and loves when we feed her. She also loves to walk with us to the beach each day. Wish we knew her name! She is so friendly and loves the kids. She reminds us of Father Dave’s dog Craggly from home.

Gosh! This is so much fun to read!!

Ha!!! Too funny! Made me laugh… Kinda does look like an UGG boot now that you said that 😉 lol… Are there any shells for collecting along the shore or is it all rocks? And if so have you found any shells that you don’t normally find at the Jersey shore? Would love to see pics if so 🙂
Blessings,
Lisa

So far we have only seen rocks. They are the most beautiful colors though! We’ll keep an eye out for shells and post if we find any.

Hello Brogans! The rainbow was magnificent, but the dog (definitely looks like a lab!) stole the show! Karma and Team Tombs send big hugs!

She really is a great dog! I feel a little badly for her though because she spends all day outside no matter the weather. THis morning we made her some scrambled eggs when she came for breakfast and then she sat in a sheltered corner of the deck through a hail storm!

Reminds me of the dog Arthur Guiness in Irish Country Doctor. Didn’t you read that Jen?

Yes! I love those books. I just read the latest one right before we left for the trip.

Love the pictures and updates! It looks so beautiful there! Oh and the dog does look like Craigly!! What a sweetheart! We missed you all at Good Sports today. We feel like there is a big hole everywhere we go because you aren’t here!! It is not easy to get used to!
Send our love to all and keep those updates coming!!!

We miss you all too! Even though the scenery is beautiful, it is a little lonely not knowing anyone here. We definitely miss the whole homeschooling group!

Good morning, Brogans!
Are you very near other houses, or are they quite spread out? Your doggie friend must belong to someone (who obviously believes that dogs are intended to be outdoor critters!). I’m hoping that the “neighbors” give you as warm a welcome as their pup!

There are other houses on the street, but they are spread far apart. The house closest to us does not seem to be occupied currently. Maybe it’s a vacation home. The one on the other side is a dairy farm, thus the cows in our backyard each morning. Many of the places we pass from the main road to the house are also farms and we are as likely to see farm equipment as cars on the road! I think that is why the dog is out so much, it is probably a farm dog. There are many in the neighborhood and I’ve yet to see one on a leash. Everyone waves or says hello when walking or driving by.
